Kelly Sciandra

Kelly Sciandra, originally from Buffalo, NY, was a member of the band This Day and Age, formed in 2001.  The band released three LPs before the lead singer left and the remaining members formed The Reign of Kindo in 2006.  Kelly Sciandra's fluid piano lines earned a key role in Kindo's trademark sound, which has been described as a fusion of jazz, rock, classical, and pop.  The Reign of Kindo steadily earned fans during his time with the band, which included the first EP and the following two LPs, Rhythm, Chord, and Melody and This is What Happens.

In 2011, Kelly Sciandra signed with Candyrat Records to produce his solo piano debut.  In Session is a collection of six originals and four arrangements featuring Ben Paulding on Drums and Kelly Roberge on Sax. Recorded and mixed by Dan Fox.

"Space Mountain" finds Kelly Sciandra experimenting with a few different software programs and a gaggle of synthesizers that were collecting dust in the basement to create each and every instrument on these recordings. "I was able to create samples that imitated key instruments in jazz groups along with some sweet fuzzy leads and bomb beats. It was imperative that on each track I created a moment that adequately put me back into that place of emotion where the song came from. The title track, Space mountain is a compilation of all of the emotions felt throughout this album."
